2008 Pinewood Derby

We just completed our 2008 Pinewood Derby. Cub Scouts receive a kit at our December meeting. Each kit contains a block, 4 nails to be used as axles, and 4 wheels.
The boys, with the assistance of an adult, transform these simple materials into sleek, speedy racers. This year our fastest car made it to the end of the 32ft track in just under 2.5 seconds with a scale speed of just over 200mph! We have posted race stats!
