Scouts & families, start your engines!
I hope all the Dens have changed the oil and filled up the tires on their respective Cubmobiles in preparation for this Sunday’s event. Please arrive on time so we can make sure that each Scout gets three opportunities to drive their Cubmobile. If you know you will not be able to attend, please email me ahead of time so I can make the necessary adjustments.
Sunday, November 4th, 1100 AM to 200 PM (approximate end time)
Jackson Elementary School, 2700 Fountain Oaks Dr., Morgan Hill
ALL DRIVERS MUST BRING & WEAR CLOSED-TOE SHOES AND A BICYCLE/SKATEBOARD STYLE PROTECTIVE HELMET
Scouts will “race” in a random order representing their den against other dens. This is a fun race and no rankings or standings will be maintained.
Each Scout will have the opportunity to race three times if they choose.
Food will be available for purchase so bring a few dollars.
Until Pennzoil or Good Year Tires come through with a sponsorship, our event is a parent driven activity. I will start setting up the track and safety barriers at 0930 AM. If you are available to help with a screw gun or just adult strength, I would greatly appreciate it. Please email me if you can arrive before the event to assist with preparation and/or stay 30 minutes after the event to help clean up. Also, if you are willing to help with the sale of the lunch items, Mrs. Cubmaster and I would appreciate it. Please email me.
If you have considered taking over the coordination of this fun event, it would behoove you to come early. This is my last year in Pack 700; if I show up to next year’s race I’d just be that creepy old guy hanging out with Cub Scouts.
